The Macquarie Asset Management Real Assets team in Japan focuses on investments in the Japan market in the space of infrastructure, green energy, and private equity. What role will you play?

You will be an integral member of the team with exposure across the full life cycle of investments covering the Japan market, primarily working on sourcing new investment opportunities and asset management of portfolio businesses, refinancings and exits. Operating as a key part of the investment and asset management team, you will work closely with colleagues and external advisors in sourcing, screening, assessing and negotiating transactions, developing and managing financial models, performing valuations and due diligence, and also liaising with the management of the portfolio companies and third-party advisors.

You will prepare investment papers for approval by the investment committee to ensure they make successful investment and asset management decisions in line with the investment strategy of our managed funds.

What you offer

• 5 years’ experience in investment management working with an asset management firm, investment bank or advisory division within a major accounting firm
• High numeracy skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English as well as Japanese due to the business coverage of the role
• Highly motivated, proactive and resilient with sound business judgement and strong interpersonal skills
• Flexible, entrepreneurial and innovative with the credibility and professional polish to represent the infrastructure business of Macquarie both internally and externally.
