Our Strategic Initiatives team within Macquarie’s Commodities and Global Markets Group manages the design, implementation, and embeddedness of strategic business and operational uplift, regulatory, and remediation initiatives that support client and business objectives.

What role will you play?

As a Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating multiple aspects of an established initiative related to our Commodities and Global Markets division risk management practices. You will support the Project Lead, Project Managers, and the wider project team to ensure that the project runs effectively. Your responsibilities will include assisting in data collection and analysis, maintaining project schedules and artefacts logs, and act as a point of contact for stakeholders. You may also assist with communication, training, and documentation related to control implementation and embeddedness.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with an excellent eye for detail and good organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing effective communication with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Exemplary customer service and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively utilise software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Curiosity to investigate deeper when required.
