The European Operations team at Macquarie Bank is based in Dublin and supports various trading desks across the business, covering all aspects of the trade life-cycle process which includes but not limited to, trade verification, confirmation, funding, settlement, and reconciliation of currency and cash accounts. The team is also responsible for various Regulatory and Management reporting. This team is a crucial part of ensuring the smooth operation of Macquarie Bank Europe's Designated Activity Company.

What role will you play?

As a member of the Operations team in our Dublin office, you will provide operational support and control to Macquarie Bank Europe. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of products, including FX, Financial Commodities, Fixed Income, and Interest Rate Derivatives. Your responsibilities will include trade validation, drafting confirmations, settlement of transactions, cash reconciliation, elements of the margining process and reporting. Additionally, you will play a key role in client service delivery, serving as a primary contact for internal stakeholders and external clients.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to operate in a robust control environment
  • The ability to identify and deliver process improvements which optimise workflow by increasing efficiency, enhancing controls and improving the quality of our Macquarie services
  • Familiarity with International Swaps and Derivatives Association standards and MarkitWire is advantageous, though not mandatory
  • Experience in a similar corporate environment is desirable but not mandatory
