Our team is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a robust Regulatory Assurance Framework and delivering a Success Programme to ensure full compliance with all regulatory reporting obligations in Macquarie Capitals Equities division.

What role will you play?

You will be responsible for designing and implementing a business-owned Regulatory Assurance Framework for the Equities business where you will define control objectives, assurance activities, and governance structures aligned to regulatory obligations. You will also lead the delivery of a strategic, business-led programme to uplift regulatory reporting capability across the Equities business and establish and lead governance forums to review regulatory assurance outcomes, escalate issues, and track remediation. Utilising your strong relationships with key stakeholders and you will represent the business in enterprise-level regulatory change forums and working groups.

What you offer

  • 7 + years’ experience in regulatory reporting, assurance, risk, or controls within an investment bank or capital markets business
  • Proven experience designing and implementing control frameworks or assurance programmes
  • Strong understanding of front-to-back trade flows and reporting touchpoints
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience engaging senior leaders
  • Ability to analyse complex data, identify gaps, and implement control enhancements
  • Familiarity with regulatory technology and reporting infrastructure is valuable
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory regimes relevant to equities trading (e.g., MiFID II, ASIC, SEC, MAR) is valuable.
