Join our Commodities and Global Markets’ Central Division Strategy and ANZ COO team. Our team partners with business and support to navigate operational and business tasks related to risk management, regulatory obligations and governance. Additionally, we support the Global COO in implementing the Central Division strategy and developing and delivering Group-specific training programs. Our team collaborates with stakeholders across Business Divisions, Financial Management, People and Engagement, Risk Management, and Corporate Operations, as well as partnering with regional COO teams in our international hubs. A great opportunity for an experienced, action-oriented professional to join Commodities and Global Markets Central division in a business strategy and operations capacity reporting to the ANZ COO.

In this role, you will help businesses and support teams navigate Commodities and Global Markets, maintaining a diverse range of stakeholder relationships. You will be accountable for uplifting and executing cyclical and project-based operational and business management responsibilities, including regulatory changes, management reporting and business resilience.

You will also play key roles in supporting Commodities and Global Markets’ Global COO to implement the Central division strategy. This includes supporting with staff engagement and managing operational activities for Central Division.

As a member of the Central Strategy and ANZ COO team, there will also be opportunities to partner with the broader team to develop and deliver initiatives across the CGM Training, Technology and Office Management portfolios.

This role will involve working with stakeholders across Commodities and Global Markets businesses, Financial Management Group, Risk Management Group and Corporate Operations Group to deliver outcomes. Given the diverse and global nature of our businesses, you will also partner with other regional COO teams in our international hubs and Commodities and Global Markets’ divisional and business COO teams.


What you offer

  • 3+ years’ experience in Operations, Finance, Technology or Risk Management in a financial services environment
  • Proven stakeholder management, communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver competing priorities
  • Proven ability to problem-solve, think critically, identify improvements to operational processes, and resolve issues, with a good understanding of when to escalate
  • A strong achievement drive and ability to work on your own and part of diverse teams
