Join Macquarie Asset Management in our Public Investments team and be a key part of our ETF (exchange-traded funds) capability. In this newly created position, you will be a part of the ETF Capital Markets team and be based in Sydney.

What role will you play?

You will play a key role in the development and day-to-day management of Macquarie Asset Management’s ETF capability, coordinating activities across the organisation including ETF dealing, operations, fund services, technology, sales, and external service providers (e.g., Market Makers (MM), Authorised Participants (AP), iNAV providers).

You will partner with teams across the organization to develop and grow the ETF platform and develop, document and maintain processes and relevant documentation to support the ETF Capital Markets team. In addition, you will be responsible for analysing primary and secondary markets to develop understanding of the trading and valuation of our ETFs, and manage wholesale client, adviser, and broker execution desk relationships to support ETF trading and liquidity needs, including average daily volume, bid-offer spreads, or available trade sizes.

What you offer

  • 1+ years of experience in an ETF Capital Markets role or in an ETF Operations role is preferred
  • Ability to manage time effectively to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Coding skills, particularly in Python, to support data analysis, process automation, and other technical tasks as needed
  • Experience with Confluence and Aladdin is preferred
  • Entrepreneurial spirit centred around growth, and a team-oriented mindset
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
