Join our Global Market Risk team based in Sydney who play a key role measuring and limiting Macquarie’s exposure to adverse movements in market factors by setting, monitoring, reporting and enforcing risk limits across all trading areas.

What role will you play?

As a Senior Analyst, you will be immersed in global financial markets, keeping abreast of market news and trends to understand and identify potential risks. You will oversee the monitoring and reporting of risk metrics daily to senior management, set and manage appropriate trading limits, analyse trades and approve new products for a range of desks covering Australian equities, commodities, FX and interest rates.

What you offer

• 3+ years’ experience in financial markets, ideally in risk management
• Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on Engineering, Science, Mathematics, Economics or a related discipline
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels
• Effective communication, problem solving and analytical skills
• Demonstrable interest in financial markets.
