Join our Indirect Tax team who is responsible for supporting our businesses in Australia and New Zealand to manage their indirect tax obligations while they are also focusing on a period of transformation across all areas of indirect tax including process improvement, transformation, data strategy all while leveraging AI and other technology platforms

What role will you play?

You will provide indirect tax reporting, accounting and operational support to Macquarie’s operating businesses and central functions. This will involve ensuring the appropriate processes and controls are in place, advising Finance teams on indirect tax reporting and operational issues, ensuring Macquarie meets is indirect tax reporting and compliance obligations. In addition to supporting the monthly GST reporting cycle, the successful applicant will assist with the execution of our data strategy and transformation initiatives in respect of indirect tax processes, systems.

What you offer

  • Tertiary degree or equivalently qualified (preferably in Commerce or Accounting)
  • 3-5 years experience in similar in house role or professional services environment
  • Proficient in use of business applications such as Excel, PowerBI, Accounting Systems (e.g. Oracle)
  • Experience in managing multiple deliverables concurrently and working with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Accounting or relevant post graduate qualifications valuable
  • Experience working on tax or finance process transformation or data projects is valuable.
