We have an exciting career development opportunity to step into a leadership role managing a team of Executive Assistants across the Macquarie Capital business.  This role will work closely with the Global Head of Admin Management and regional COO to ensure MacCap is well supported. It also provides the opportunity of working with senior stakeholders within a high caliber revenue generating business.

Take on a pivotal role in shaping the success of the Executive Assistant (EA) community within Macquarie Capital. This position offers the opportunity to lead, advocate, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the efficient functioning of the EA team while fostering their growth and development.

In this role, you will work closely with the recruitment team to manage the hiring process for open EA positions, ensuring the selection of top talent. You will oversee EA allocations, proactively balancing workloads to maintain fairness and efficiency across the team.

As an advocate for the MacCap EA community, you will represent their interests across central Macquarie functions, including Guest Relations, Travel, IT, and more. Your leadership will encompass performance management, where you will guide performance review discussions, manage the year-end process, and partner with Human Resources.

You will foster team cohesion and communication by leading team meetings, setting agendas, and building strong relationships with senior stakeholders. By collaborating with senior leaders, you will ensure their teams are well-supported and positioned for success. 

Additionally, you will focus on the growth and development of the EA team by working with the Global Admin Team Lead and Human Resources to identify training and development opportunities, enabling team members to achieve their full potential.

This role provides a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the MacCap EA community while building strong connections across the business.

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, complemented by strong people management abilities.
  • Excellent judgement, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a talent for managing stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to prioritise workloads, resolve conflicts, and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the capability to work autonomously with confidence.
  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite, with intermediate to advanced skills
