Our in-house Performance and Media team plays a crucial role in Macquarie’s retail banking business, helping reach, engage and convert customers at scale. As the leader of this team, you’ll be responsible for supporting the strategic and tactical go to market initiatives across digital and traditional media channels.

What role will you play?

You will lead a team of performance marketing and media specialists. You will work with colleagues across the Marketing ecosystem to build go to market campaigns and digital channel strategies that drive product consideration and customer acquisition across the retail bank, in particular, deposits and home loans.

You will measure campaign performance and commercial business outcomes rigorously, to identify trends and insights that inform strategic decisions and optimisation recommendations across multiple channels and touchpoints. This will help to identify initiatives that will improve the experience and conversion through the acquisition funnel. You will work closely with digital advertising platforms and with internal Data & AI, Digital and Technology teams. You will play a key role in identifying, prioritising and delivering innovations as part of our growth strategy.

What you offer

  • 8+ years of experience in digital advertising
  • Deep expertise and hands-on experience across performance marketing channels (paid search, social and programmatic media buying) within hyper competitive markets
  • Experience running integrated campaigns, with exposure to digital and traditional above the line media planning and execution to drive product awareness and consideration
  • A leadership style which integrates both doing and coaching
  • Ability to manage large media budgets and balance the need to drive acquisition efficiency with building consideration over the long-term
  • Proven experience in building a culture of experimentation within a performance team, leveraging frameworks, tools and systems to drive experiment ideation and velocity
  • Proficiency and comfort with data and analysis, as well as reporting tools such as Google Analytics, Datorama and ThoughtSpot
  • Technical experience and proficiency across performance and media platforms, including Google Marketing Platform, Meta Business Manager, and Google Tag Manager
  • High degree of accountability for customer, brand, commercial and risk outcomes, with great attention to detail
  • Agency experience is valued.
