Join our growing Equity Finance business as a junior Securities Lending Trader. As part of this successful and highly supportive team, you will help drive sustained business growth and increase profitability in Asia.

What role will you play?

In this dynamic role, you will be empowered to explore new ideas, originate, identify and execute profitable trading opportunities across seven regional markets, partnering with sales and other trading businesses to distribute products aligned to Macquarie’s competitive advantages. You will play a key role in driving automation and process improvement for the team, managing and optimising equity inventory, with a focus on efficient allocation, rate management, funding, optimising capital usage and relationship management. With effective risk and control management in mind, you will also work to ensure trading risks are foreseen, managed and escalated within the group framework.

  • Existing exposure to trading either through a front office or middle office support role, with exposure to Securities Lending an advantage
  • Strong numerical, technical and programming skills with a passion for automation
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and making sound judgement calls when evaluating risk and reward
  • A self-motivated team player with the ability to quickly build effective relationships with external clients and counterparties together with internal stakeholders
  • A confident communicator with fluency in English (an additional language is an advantage).
