Join our Surveillance Team, which is part of our Risk Management Group and provides business surveillance to Macquarie's operating businesses and support groups.

What role will you play?

You will be responsible for undertaking Trade, Electronic Communications, and Voice surveillance to assist the Global Surveillance team with the day-to-day review and analysis of firm activity, including relevant trades (firm, client and employee), electronic and voice communications to identify patterns and behaviours indicating market abuse and misconduct.

You will also be required to manage the daily/weekly volume of alerts and escalate matters of interest and follow up issues to a successful conclusion. In addition, you will work with local and Global Surveillance teams to improve the quality of alerts generated and remove "false positive" findings.

What you offer

• A degree in Business, Finance, Economics or similar 
• Relevant experience in a compliance or regulatory role with a focus on detection and review of potential risks, especially market abuse and manipulation, is an advantage 
• Analytical and investigative mindset 
• High attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex verbal information 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie’s material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
