What role will you play?

In this role, you will work closely with business leaders to support the effective management of operational, compliance, and conduct risks, helping to ensure strong risk outcomes while enabling sustainable business growth.

You will play a key role in embedding risk management practices, providing practical advice to stakeholders, and supporting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. You will partner with our global Equities businesses to support compliance and operational risk management activities, support risk and control self assessments (RCSAs), including control mapping, assessment of control effectiveness and follow-up actions and monitor and support development of conduct risk metrics and key risk indications, identifying emerging risks and trends.

In addition, you will support the management of incidents and issues from identification through to resolution, including root cause analysis and thematic read-across the business. You will assist with designing and implementing transaction reporting control requirements, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational discipline, and provide clear, practical risk advice to business stakeholders, balancing risk management expectations with commercial objectives.

What you offer

  • Experience in operational risk, compliance, or non-financial risk management within a trading business (Cash Equities experience would be highly regarded).
  • Experience in developing risk governance materials including risk appetite metrics and conduct reporting.
  • Strong working knowledge of RCSAs, incident and issue management, and conduct risk.
  • Ability to analyse complex information, identify root causes, and deliver clear, actionable insights.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence at manager and senior manager levels.
  • Well-developed judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
