Principal Finance is a global investing business within Macquarie Capital, managing transactions across corporate debt, private equity and real estate sectors. The Operations team supports the full deal lifecycle, from acquisition through to exit. You will work on transforming Principal Finance Operations by replacing manual, multi‑system workflows with an integrated platform that automates data entry, reduces operational risk, and streamlines end‑to‑end deal management.

This is an initial 6-month contract with potential to renew.

What role will you play?

As a Business Analyst, you will partner with stakeholders in Sydney, London and New York to document business requirements, translate them into clear technical specifications, support New York based developers during build and testing, and help the Digital Lead prioritise and execute on the product roadmap. Testing will make up about 30% of the role, while you will also conduct preliminary BA testing and facilitate business UAT.

What you offer

• 5+ years’ BA experience in technology delivery (SDLC)
• Experience in process automation and software testing (E.g., Jira Xray or similar)
• Strong financial services background and numerical skills (E.g., Excel, PowerBI or similar)
• Skilled in process mapping, requirements definition and test case creation. (BPMN 2.0, user stories, gherkin)
• Comfortable working in Agile delivery environments (E.g., Jira, Confluence, Figma, scrum certifications)
• Analytical, organised and able to work with a geographically dispersed team
• Experience deploying or using AI tools (ideally in document extraction within an operations environment).
