The Rates Management team sits within Commodities and Global Markets and is responsible for producing and maintaining the market rates used to value trades, manage risk and support settlement across a wide range of financial products. As part of a global team, we work closely with trading, technology and risk teams to ensure timely and accurate rates are available to support day to day business activity.

What role will you play?

You will be  working closely with front‑office teams to set up rate capture for new trading activity, analysing requirements and implementing solutions quickly to meet business needs. You will also contribute to longer‑term initiatives such as supporting the launch of new businesses, optimising and consolidating rate capture processes, and helping to implement new reporting platforms. In partnership with technology teams, you will drive enhancements to existing systems and support the development of new functionality, while gaining exposure to a broad range of products and systems across Commodities and Global Markets, continuously learning and applying new skills.

What you offer

  • At least three years’ experience in financial services, ideally in risk analysis with exposure to commodities, FX and/or interest rate markets.
  • A strong problem solving mindset, with the ability to analyse requirements and deliver practical solutions in a fast paced environment.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholder groups, including trading, technology and risk teams, supported by clear and confident communication skills.
  • A solid understanding of technology concepts and data systems, with basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python considered beneficial.
  • Familiarity with market data sources such as Bloomberg or Refinitiv, and a continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
